Found from Costa Rica and Panama on trunks of small trees in moss at elevations of 700 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 5 equitant, conduplicae, spreading, laterally flattened, imbricating sheaths with broad scarious hyaline margins, semi-elliptic to linear-oblong, congested, fleshy, sessile, sharply acute leaves that blooms in the summer on a lateral, basal, racemose, subumbellate, semiglobose, peduncle slender, flexuous to suberect, provided with 3 infundibuliform, acuminate bracts, 1.6" [4 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, concave floral bracts.
