Found on Nicobar Island as a hot growing epiphyte with a short, pendulous stem carrying at least 4 to 7, lorate, narrowing at both ends, very unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendent, 5.6"to 6" [14 to 15 cm] long, rachis compressed, coarsely winged, simultaneously 8 to 9 flowered inflorescence with very thick floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
