Found in the Philippines in humid forests at elevations around 100 to 150 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a leafy base with lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, lowermost much smaller, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect to 10" [25 cm] long overall, peduncle elongate, congested, many flowered inflorescence holding the flowers in an apical corymb with linear-lanceolate bracts and carrying purple flowers towards the base and yellowish flowers above the middle
