Flower Size .38" [9 mm] long

Found in Sulawesi in mossy montane forests at elevations around 1200 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial that blooms in the late fall and winter on an erect, arising on a newly developing shoot before the leaves open properly, long lasting, successively 1 to 3, several flowered inflorescence and carrying 2 types of flowers, the first to open have a different shape than those that open later.

Both the inflorescence arising on a new shoot with the leaves just developing and the fact that there are 2 flower shapes are unique to this species.
