Found in Sumatra at elevations around 1100 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a horizontal basally becoming erect, leafy stem carrying 10 to 12 ovate-oblong, acuminate, acute, shiny green above, undulate higher up, very oblique at the base, narrowing below into the channeled petiolate base leaves stem carrying about 11, obliquely oblong, acuminate, acute, very oblique at the base, undulate higer up, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, terminal, peduncle to 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long, rachis to 5 to 6" [12.5 to 15 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with linear floral bracts.
