Common Name The Twig Guardian Malleola [refers to its epiphytic nature]

Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Borneo, Lesser Sunda Islands, Sulawesi and the Philippines on small trees alongside mountain creeks at elevations around 500 meters as a hot to warm growing epiphyte that blooms in the fall.
Schlechter states that the flowers are whitish with red veins and the spur is yellowish.
