Found in Thailand and Malaysia as a small to medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with 7, oblong-ovate, light yellow brown with an irregular marginal band of lighter color, acute, wavy margined leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate, acute, reflexed floral bracts.

May be the largest flowered Malaxis in the genus.
