Common Name Licata's Malaxis [Venezuelan Orchid Collector of the species current]

Flower Size

Found in Portugues and Trujillo states of Venezuela and in Cundinamara department of Colombia in shady montane cloud forests at elevations around 2100 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with narrowly pyriform pseudobulbs carrying 2, subopposite, ovate, acute to shortly acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer on a terminal, erect, 8 to 48.8" [20 to 21 cm] long, rachis .4" [ 1 cm] long, pseudoumbellate, flowered inflorescence and carrying small cream colored flowers.
