Common Name or Meaning The Circular Malaxis - In China Chi Chun Zhao Lan

Flower Size 2/5" [1 cm]

Found in northern Thailand as well as Yunnan Province of China in forests as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial at elevations of 1350 to 2100 meters with an erect stem carrying a few basal elliptic, acute leaves. This one is blooming and photographed in situ in June of 2001 on an erect, to 14" [to 35 cm] long, several to many [20+] flowered inflorescence.
