Found in western Java in dark and humid localities at elevations of 1500 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a stem carrying 3, dark green, wavy margined, 5 main veined, 2 smaller ones close to the margins, gradually narrowing towards the base leaves that bloom s in the later spring on an erect, terminal, dark purple, to 6.4" [16 cm] long, spaced, many flowered inflorescence
