Found in western Java in primary montane forests at elevations of 1280 to 1670 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a dark green flushed purple stem carrying 4, ovate-oblong, acuminate, the surfacve and margins uneven, gradually narrowing below intothe petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, terminal, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, close set, many flowered inflorescence
