Common Name or Meaning The Graceful Masdevallia [refers to the inflorescence]

Found in Venezuela without locational data as a miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by a 1 to 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obovate, obtuse to rounded, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect to arching, with a bract at the base, arising from low on the ramicaul, slender, triquetrous, 9.2" [23 cm] long including the 8" [20 cm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with a and holding the flower more or less at the height of the leaf.
"Similar to M virgo-cuencae but differs in the very slender, more or less flexible peduncle that bends to be nearly horizontal with the weight of the flower. Although pale colored, the sepaline tube and the slender tails as well as the petals and the column are similar but the lip of M cracens is slightly longer and slender with the apex sharply acute and only microscopically papular and erose."
