Found in Azuay province of Ecuador without locality data as a mini-miniature sized epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the slender, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a slender, suberect, 4" [10 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract above the base and a tubular floral bract and carrying an all yellow flower.
