Common Name Hubein's Masdevallia [German Orchid Enthusiast and collector in the Andes]

Found in Santander and Norte de Santander departments of Colombia without specific locality as a mini-miniature sized, epiphyte with stout, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obovate, obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a slender, horizontal to descending, 1.4 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, more or less "S" shaped, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near the base
