Found in Bolivia at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicuals enveloped by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a slender, erect, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorecence with a bract at the base and arising from low on the ramicaul and a tubular floral bract.
