Found in northern coastal Venezuela at elevations around 1250 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, blackish ramicauls envelopd basally by 2 to 3 close, tubualr sheaths and carrying a single, apical, thickly coriaceous, sulcate, narrowly linear, narrowly obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the indistinct petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, slender, .4 to 1" [1 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a bract below the middle, arising from low on the ramicaul and has a tubular floral bract
