Found in Huila Colombia at elevations around 850 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblong-elliptic, subacute, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, channeled, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a slender, triquetrous, erect, 6.4" [ 16 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near the base and imbricate tubular floral bracts
