Found in Cundinamarca Colombia in cloud forests at elevations of 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect, blackish ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3, loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the cuneate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, slender single flowered, 1.6" [4 cm] long inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract near thje base and a tubular floral bract.
