Common Name Stumpfle's Masdevallia [German Orchid Enthusiast current]

Found in Peru without collection data as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial? with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, eret, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, slender, [18 to 29 cm] long, weak, single flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul, with a bract near the base and a thin tubular floral bract and holding the flower well above leaf height.
