Common Name or Meaning The Zongo Valley Masdevallia

Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations of 1550 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender, blackish ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, dark green, elliptic-obovate, subacute, cuneate below into the blackish petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a slender, suberect, 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a bract above tyhe base, arising from low on the ramicaul with tubular floral bract and carrying the flower at the height of the leaf.
