Maxillaria albertii Schltr. 1923 - See also Maxillaria elatior (Rchb. f.) Rchb. f. 1863 Photo by Daniel Jimenez

Common Name Albert's Maxillaria

Flower Size 1/8" [3mm]

Found in Costa Rica at elevations around 500 to 1500 meters as a small to just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with oval, compresssed, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying erect-patent, lorate, obtuse, narrowing below in to the base leaves that blooms on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence with a few bracts and oblong floral bracts

Cited as a synonym of Maxillaria eliator but I can see several differences so I will leave them separate at this time.
