Found in Bolivia in wet tropical forests on steep slopes at elevations around 700 meters as a medium to large sized, warm growing terrestrial/epiphyte with an erect stem carrying erect-patent, lorate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically thinly coriaceous leaves that blooms in the summer on short, single flowered inflorescence with narrowly linear, acute, almost half as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying pale whitish to yellowish, fleshy flowers.
Similar to M crassifolia in flower size.
