Found in Zamora Chinchipe province of Ecuador at elevations around 800 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a rhizome giving rise to small, close spaced, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, terete, obtuse leaf that blooms on erect, fractiflex, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
