Common Name Donald Dod's Maxillaria [American Orchidologist 1900's to 2008]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in southwestern Haiti in the Massif de la Hotte as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte that blooms in the spring.

Similar to M coccinea but M donalleedodii is distinguished by its shorter apical leaves, globose pseudobulbs and longer sepals.
