Flower Size 2.2" [5.5 cm]

Found in Venezuela in scattered remnants of old forests at elevations around 1750 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphtye with aggregate, circular, moderately laterally compressed, smooth pseudobulbs enveloped partially by 2, basal, acuminate sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on 4 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence enveloped mostly by tubular, obtuse bracts.
