Common Name The Inward-Rolling Maxillaria [Refers to the sepals]
Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 800 to 2000 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with pseudobulbs enveloped completely by oblong-ligulate, acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on erect, single flowered inflorescence with ligulate, acute bracts.
