Found in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in moist tropical forests at elevations around [850] 2000 to 2600 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial with ascending stems enveloped by distichous, imbricate, non and leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying at intervals, flattened pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, linear, curved, asymetrical apically, conduplicate towards the base leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, erect, .2" [7mm] long single flowered inflorescence.
