Found in Morona Santiago province of Ecuador and Cajamarca department of Peru at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, cool, pendent growing epiphyte with pendent, branching stems enveloped completely by scarious, acuminate, apically spreading sheaths and giving rise to small, somewhat thicjkened, elliptic pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 3, pendent, terete, rounded leaves that blooms on axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence.
