Found in Brazil as a small sized, cool to warm, erect or pendant growing epiphyte with an ascending rhizome carrying closely set, fusiform, pluri-sulcate, 4 to 8 angled, glossy green-black pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, linear-oblanceolate, acute to long acuminate leaves and blooms in the spring and summer in Brazil on a 1.2 " to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that is enveloped by ovate, acuminate sheaths and arising on a mature pseudobulb.
