Found in Cusco department of Peru at elevations of 2000 to 2300 meters as a small sized, cold growing, ascending epiphyte with suborbicular, compressed pseudobulbs subtended by papery bracts and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute leaves that blooms on a slender, short, erect, with imbricate, papery bracts, to 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a subsimilar, ovate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bract.
