Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 550 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a monopodial, stem enveloped entirely by imbricating, lower leafless, upper leaf bearing sheaths that blooms on axillary, sessile, single flowered inflorescence.
