Common Name The Four Angled Maxillaria

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica and Panama in very wet and pluvial oak forests at elevations of 1500 to 2400 meters as a large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial or epiphyte with possibly caespitose pseudobulbs in youth but in maturity a stem carrying lanceolate, acute, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late fall, winter and early spring on a few per leaf axil, to 4" [10 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence carrrying flowers with the tepals rose to white in color.
