Common Name The Three Lobed Maxillaria

Found in Costa Rica and western Panama in cloud forests at elevations 1000 to 1700 meters as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte with a monopodial stem carrying subcoriaceous, ovoid, apically rounded to acute leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and spring on several per leaf axil, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence carrying small white flowers with a red and yellow lip.
