Common Name Turkel's Maxillaria [American Orchid Enthusiast in California current]

Flower Size 2.8" [7 cm]

Found in Azuay Ecuador at elevations of 2000 to 2500 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with compressed pseudobulbs carrying ligulate, acute leaves that blooms on erect, to 9.6" [23 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, obovate, acuminate, keeled floral bracts and carrying suberect, cupped flowers.
