An ascending, miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphytic species occuring in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais States of Brazil with imbricating sheaths holding seried, small, oblong, obtuse pseudobulbs enveloped basally by imbricating sheaths and carrying 2, apical, aciculate leaves that become sulcate with age and has a short, basal, single flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb subtended by scarious sheaths that carry the flower at the side of the pseudobulb .
