Common Name Woytkowski's Maxillaria [Polish Collector in Peru 1900's]

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Junin department of Peru in wet montane forests at elevations of 1150 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid, complanate pseudobulbs enveloped basally by foliaceous sheaths and carrying a single, elliptic, acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on erect, to 12" [5 cm] long, enveloped by tubular, acuminate bracts, single flowered inflorescence..
