Found in Papua New Guinea in upper montane forests at elevations of 2150 to 2800 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with suberect to erect, narrowly conical to cylindrical pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 5 to 6 closely adpressed, acute, glabrous, keeled apically cataphyls and carrying a single, apical, sessile, narrowly lanceolate, glabrous, entire margin, rounded apically, obscurely bilobed, mucronate, coriaceous leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a .4 to 1" [1 to 2.5 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
