Found in New Guinea, The Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu forming mats from montane, rain and subalpine forests and shrublands or on mossy rocks or roadcuts at altitudes of 1800 to 2600 meters as a creeping, ascending, miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with obliquely ovoid, green pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, oblanceolate, obtuse or acute leaves and blooms at any time of the year on a 1/3" [1 cm] long, single flowered, axillary inflorescence arising from the apice of a newly developing pseudobulb that has a solitary, bell shaped, long-lasting flower.
