Common Name or Meaning The Single Flowered Mediocalcar

Flower Size

Found in New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations of 800 to 2300 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a terete, decumbent rhizome giving rise to suberect, basally slightly dilated cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, shortly and unequally bilobed apically leaf that blooms in the spring on a thin, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
