Common Name Glaziou's Mesadenus [French Gardener and collector in southern Brazil later 1800's]

Found in Rio de Janiero Brazil as a robust, medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, 6 to 9, strongly apressed, long-acuminate sheathed stem carrying a few, large, basal, rosulate, erect, fleshy, lanceolate, long attenuate, sessile to subsessile leaves that blooms on an erect, sinuous, 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, long-acuminate, thinly membraneous, very concave floral bracts.
