Common Name Horich's Mesospinidium [German Orchid Collector in Costa Rica and Panama 1900's]

Flower Size .25" [6 to 7 mm]

Found in Costa Rica and Panama [Peru?] in premontane to montane rainforests at elevations of 700 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with small, ovoid, compressed pseudobulbs subtended by 2 to 3, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to occasionally 2, thin, carinate beneath, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic leaves that blooms in the fall on an axillary, pendant to arcuate, paniculate, 10 to 12" [25 to 30 cm] long, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence
