Found in northeastern Madagascar in humid, coastal evergreen forests at elevations of sea level to 1200 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying a few elongate roots that blooms in the summer and earlier fall on a 4" [10 cm] long, sparsely to 15 flowered inflorescence.
