Found in north central Dominican Republic as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a trailing to ascending rhizome giving rise to a stout, basally leafy, glabrous below, distally hairy and slender stems carrying obliquely ovate-elliptic, acuminate, undulate margins, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, hairy, to 17 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acumminate, slightly pilose, somewhat longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers .
