Found in Sumatra in upper montane forests at elevations around 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a pendulous, densely leafy stem carrying imbricate sheaths carrying spread-out, laterally compressed, obliquely oblong, narrowing apically, both upper and lower margins curved, fleshy, dark green leaves that blooms in the fall on axillary, very short, two flowered inflorescence
