Common Name Brown's Microtis - The Sweet Onion Orchid

Flower Size .12 to .16" [3 to 4 mm]

Found in southwest Western Australia at elevations of sea level to 300 meters in open forests in wet areas as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a thin, onion-like, hollow leaf that blooms in the later spring through early summer on an erect, 12 to 24" [30 to 60 cm] long, 20 to 60 flowered inflorescence with densely packed, scented flowers.
