Found in southwest Western Australia often in standing water in paperbark swamp forest at elevations of 10 to 150 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a green to reddish single leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, 8 to 14" [230 to 35 cm] long, thin, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence
