Common Name The Dense Flowered Microtis - The Dense Onion Orchid
Flower Size .2 to .24" [5 to 6 mm]
Found in southwest Western Australia at elevations of 30 to 200 meters in coastal scrub, open forests and woodlands as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a thin, onion-like, hollow leaf that blooms in the spring through early summer on an erect, 8 to 20" [20 to 50 cm] long, 20 to 150 flowered inflorescence with densely packed flowers.
