Found in Espiritu Santo Brazil in dense Atlantic rainforests as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with elongate, subcylindrical, compressed, smooth, longitudinally striate pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 5, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying 2 apical, spathulate, round, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, through the axils of the sheaths, 6.8" [17 cm] long, cylindrical, 4 flowered inflorescence with 5, amplexicaul, triangular, acute bracts and longer than the pedicel and ovary floral bracts.
