Found in Venezuela and may be in eastern Colombia at elevations around 540 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with elongate, fusiform, several noded pseudobulb carrying 8 to 9, plicate, deciduous leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a, from near the base of the pseudobulb, stout, to 8 to 10” [20 to 25 cm] long, compact and very crowded several flowered inflorescence.
