Found in Para' Brazil in Amazon rainforests at elevations around 5 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovoid-fusiform, close set, several noded pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by several, imbricate sheaths and carrying numerous, plicate, acute, narrowing below into the canaliculate, pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on an erect, from the nodes on the lower half of the pseudobulb, to 11.2" [28 cm] long, to 18+ flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
